Financial Literacy Month may be coming to a close, however, there’s still time to Rise to Wellth . Our mission is to inspire, motivate, and support others in launching businesses while advocating for self-sufficiency. I know it’s a process, and in the spirit of transparency, I’ve had to take jobs from time to time. I’ve managed two big-box chains, worked in call centers, and even launched my own call center a few years ago through Arise.
Motivation
It’s absolutely okay to work a 9–5 until you’re stable enough to transition into full-time entrepreneurship. In fact, if you prefer to build a career and work until retirement, that’s awesome too. The key is to use your time and money wisely while you’re young: pour into yourself, take advantage of the resources and opportunities available to you, such as on-the-job certifications and tuition reimbursement, to grow while you’re there.
Back in the day, you could move up through merit and hard work alone. Today, in many cases, credentials are required to advance. Adapt and equip yourself accordingly. Regardless of where you are in life, Obstacles and/or titles do not define you. Self motivate, focus on your goals, implement plans and keep going. I designed a tee years ago that says “Titles Do Not Define You”, and it’s true. You can find it in my Spring (formerly TeeSpring) store.
In closing, I recommend getting familiar with laws that protect consumers and learning to use credit responsibly. These tools can help you build a strong financial foundation. For more tips, check out my blog: Rise to Wellth.
